Join Us!
Instructors join our team because we help in two ways: if you’re privately tutoring, we are a means to provide space & materials plus professional support, and/or we open the door to our Project SOME community of professors who independently but regularly offer coursework to pre-sourced, small-groups in downtown Manhattan!
About Project SOME: Approximately ten independent professionals from NYU, Columbia, and other institutions offer their passion & expertise across two semesters each year at SOME. An exceptional group of kind, smart, and talented teens gather into groups under ten to receive 1.5 hours of instruction once per week across the subjects they choose — a series of master classes on various topics over 15 weeks. In two classrooms instructors impart the coursework they develop — the director helps coordinate everything. Our clients–parents who cannot afford private school, and whose teen cannot benefit from public for a plethora of reasons–seek these in-person, small-group courses and sign up at will. We help you find them and vice-versa…it all comes together at SOME. You can see our current offerings this semester here and see just how ‘different’ we are!

Independent, retired, and adjunct professors… masters and doctoral candidates, and even vertical experts come to Springboard & Project SOME because:
- Our young adults need passionate expert instruction. A love of learning has been lost or only available at high-cost private institutions.
- Individual tutoring as a side-gig is great, but it’s also Sisyphus-like to find students. We source your students for you.
- Teaching in-home or traveling for tutelage brings disadvantages. Materials can be limited; space concerns; safety; privacy; and cost
- When you independently instruct, accounting and other professional woes are a drag. We collect & disperse for you.
